Patient Access Representative - Relief/As Needed

Hiring a relief/as-needed Patient Access Representative to work in the Emergency Department. Shifts vary and could be any of the following: 6:45am to 3:15pm (weekdays) 2:45pm to 11:15pm (weekdays) 10:45pm to 7:15am (weekdays) 7am to 7pm (weekends) 7pm to 7am (weekends) This position is on an as-needed basis with no weekly guarantee of hours. Ideal candidate will be flexible and available at least once per week. Key Responsibilities Admit patients to all levels of care in the facility, including inpatients and outpatients Captures all insurance and patient demographic information for a complete registration Answers telephone at hospital switchboard and directs patients as needed Floats to business office registration as needed Qualifications Education: High school graduate or equivalent required. Experience Experience in a medical setting preferred. Must have good computer and communication skills. Must be friendly and service orientated. Applicant must pass a background check, health assessment including applicable vaccinations, and drug screen before hiring. Position open until filled.
