Internal Job ID: 10076481 We are looking for a senior legal billing specialist on a permanent hire basis. Job Summary Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented Legal Billing Specialist to join a fast-paced, deadline-driven finance team. This role is responsible for managing the full billing lifecycle, ensuring invoices are accurate, compliant with client requirements, and submitted in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and clients. Responsibilities Prepare, review, and process a high volume of client invoices. Edit and update billing records based on stakeholder requests. Ensure invoices comply with client billing guidelines and contractual requirements. Compile and submit all required supporting documentation with invoices. Monitor invoice submissions and resolve billing discrepancies, rejections, reductions, and appeals. Respond to billing-related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders. Generate reports and assist with special projects as needed. Maintain accurate billing records and documentation. Meet established deadlines while managing multiple priorities. Qualifications Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Ability to identify billing issues and recommend solutions. Strong follow-up skills and sound professional judgment. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Minimum of 3 years of legal billing experience required. Experience working with billing software and e-billing platforms preferred. Technology Experience with legal billing systems and electronic billing platforms preferred. Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills required. Familiarity with business technology tools and willingness to learn new systems and processes.
