Armed Security Officer Driver Enhanced Part Time (Plano, TX) This role is a flexible, dependable option for individuals interested in part‑time employment in Plano, TX. It provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site, with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts. Pay Rate: $25.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon: 3:30 PM – 10:30 PM How This Role Works Fixed‑Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six‑month commitment. Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you. Responsibilities Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a busy retail location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with local leadership and/or emergency services when needed. Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations. Monitor entrances, high‑traffic areas, and delivery activity to help identify suspicious behavior, support access control practices, and report security‑related concerns. Support loss prevention and retail operations by observing customer and employee activity, providing a visible presence, and following post orders for armed assignments. Minimum Requirements Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security‑related experience. Be at least 21 years of age. A valid driver’s license is required. A Level III Armed Certification is required in Texas only. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry‑specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
