Store Manager

As a Store Manager at Scooter’s Coffee, you lead your store and your team. Minimum Qualifications To be successful as a Store Manager, you must be able to: Lead, coach, and develop a team. Provide fast and friendly customer service. Communicate clearly with team members and leaders. Give and receive feedback. Hold team members accountable to expectations. Manage several priorities in a fast-paced environment. Use basic math and store results to make business decisions. Use email, Google Sheets, and point-of-sale systems. Work a flexible schedule based on store needs. This may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Perform the essential duties of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation. Previous management experience in retail, restaurant, hospitality, or a similar field is preferred. Interview, hire, train, and develop team members. Build a strong team and develop future leaders. Set clear goals and expectations for the team. Give regular coaching and feedback. Recognize great work and help team members improve. Address performance or behavior concerns when needed. Follow company coaching and discipline processes. Partner with your District Manager and Human Resources when needed. Create a positive and respectful work environment. Customer Experience Create an Amazing experience for every customer. Teach and coach your team to provide fast, friendly, and accurate service. Make sure the store has the right people in the right places during each shift. Address customer concerns and find ways to improve their experience. Work alongside the team and help during busy times. Store Operations Take ownership of the daily operations of your store. Make sure drinks and food meet Scooter’s Coffee recipes and standards. Keep the store clean, organized, stocked, and ready to serve. Follow and enforce food safety and store safety standards. Make sure cash handling and point-of-sale procedures are followed. Make sure store equipment is used, cleaned, and cared for properly. Follow and reinforce company policies and store procedures. Staffing & Scheduling Hire and maintain enough staff to meet store needs. Create employee schedules based on sales and business needs. Schedule the right people at the right times to serve customers and manage labor. Plan ahead for hiring and staffing needs. Adjust staffing when business needs change. Sales & Store Performance Grow store sales and look for ways to improve results. Manage labor, product costs, and store expenses. Review store sales and performance regularly. Set goals with your team and create plans to reach them. Coach your leadership team to improve store results. Take action when the store is not meeting expectations. Communication & Accountability Keep your District Manager updated on your store and team. Share company updates and expectations with your team. Stay organized and meet deadlines. Follow through on commitments. Ask for help when needed and raise concerns early. Accept feedback and adjust when needed. Additional Responsibilities Store Managers may also: Work alongside Baristas to support customers and the team. Take part in store promotions and community events. Help with training and development in their store or market. Complete paperwork and other administrative tasks for the store. Complete other tasks that support customers, the team, and store operations. Store Managers are expected to: Work at least 38 hours per week and up to 45 hours per week. Spend about 30 hours each week working alongside the team, with up to 15 hours for administrative work. Adjust their schedule based on the needs of the store. Work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed. Physical Demands & Work Environment Store Managers are active throughout their shifts. The job may require you to: Stand and move around the store for long periods. Bend, reach, stoop, and use your hands throughout the shift. Handle cups, food, supplies, money, and store equipment. Lift and move products and supplies, including items weighing up to 50 pounds on occasion. Use a step stool or ladder to reach products and supplies. Communicate in a busy and sometimes loud environment. Work around hot liquids, food, cleaning products, and store equipment. Use drive-thru communication equipment when assigned.
