Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)

Role: Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) providing direct occupational therapy care under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist in a skilled nursing facility setting. Responsibilities Implement and follow individualized treatment plans to help patients achieve functional progress. Chart patient progress accurately and timely using therapy software. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care. Assist in patient safety, maintain confidentiality, and uphold professional standards. Participate in community health projects and ensure compliance with all laws and facility policies. Demonstrate excellent customer service and positive attitude towards patients. Qualifications & Skills NBCOT certification and current licensure in the applicable state; new grads welcomed. Preferred one year of experience but not mandatory. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email communication. CPR certification or ability to obtain during orientation. Strong communication, decision-making, and body mechanics skills. Ability to work productively in a team and adhere to professional and legal standards. Key Duties Provide occupational therapy services to a diverse patient population with orthopedic, neurological, cardiopulmonary, and post-acute needs. Assist in patient evacuation and ensure safety during all activities. Maintain professional relationships and uphold confidentiality. Follow all policies, including harassment and compliance procedures, and demonstrate integrity and professionalism.
