Job Description

This temporary assignment involves assembling a large 3D weaving machine by constructing a substantial mechanical frame using 80/20 components. You will use hand and power tools to perform detailed mechanical assembly work in a manufacturing warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble a large 3D weaving machine frame, approximately 6 feet tall, using 80/20 structural components.
• Perform mechanical assembly tasks using a variety of hand and power tools.
• Interpret and follow blueprints and assembly documentation to ensure accurate construction.
• Build and align large mechanical structures with attention to detail and structural integrity.
• Inspect assembled components for proper fit, function, and quality, making adjustments as needed.
• Handle general labor tasks related to assembly, such as organizing parts, staging materials, and maintaining a clean work area.
• Lift, position, and secure parts and assemblies safely, including components weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Collaborate with team members to complete the project efficiently and on schedule.
• Follow all safety procedures and use tools and equipment in a safe and responsible manner.

• Proven aptitude for hands-on mechanical work and assembly.
• Experience assembling large mechanical structures or frames.
• Proficiency using hand tools and power tools for mechanical assembly.
• Ability to read and follow blueprints and mechanical assembly instructions.
• Capability to stand for extended periods during the shift.
• Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds safely.
• Comfort working in a manufacturing warehouse environment, including colder conditions during winter months.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.

• Previous experience with 80/20 or similar modular framing systems.
• Background in mechanical assembly within a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
• Familiarity with general labor tasks in an industrial environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing to a team effort.

This temporary assignment offers a focused opportunity to apply and strengthen your mechanical assembly skills on a unique, large-scale project. You gain hands-on experience with industrial framing systems and tools while working in a practical, project-based environment. The role is well suited for individuals who enjoy building tangible structures, working with their hands, and seeing a complex mechanical system come together from start to finish.

Work Environment

You will work in a manufacturing warehouse environment that can be cold during January and winter months. The role involves standing for extended periods, performing physically active tasks, and regularly lifting up to 50 pounds. You will use a range of hand and power tools and work around large mechanical structures and framing systems. Standard industrial safety practices apply, and attire should be appropriate for a warehouse setting and cooler temperatures.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Emeryville, CA.

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Emeryville,CA.
