Responsibilities The Horsham Clinic is seeking compassionate, trustworthy, and well‑rounded Registered Nurses (RN’s). For more than 60 years, The Horsham Clinic has helped children, teens, adults and older adults manage and overcome a number of mental health issues at its 55‑acre campus nested in Ambler, Pennsylvania. We have a total of 206 licensed acute beds and are one of the largest providers of acute inpatient services in southeastern Pennsylvania. The Horsham Clinic also offers partial hospitalization services for children, teens and adults at our main campus in Ambler, and at our Chester County and Delaware County partial programs. What You’ll Do (Position Description) Coordinating, delegating, evaluating, and monitoring nursing care for a variety of psychiatric patients. Providing a safe and therapeutic milieu and crisis intervention and activities of daily living. Participating in a multidisciplinary team, working under the supervision of the CNO, ADON, and Nurse Manager. Demonstrating leadership abilities that contribute to a positive work environment. Showing flexibility for reassignment to various units/populations including children, adolescents, adults, older adults and dually diagnosed patients. Complying with confidentiality laws and regulatory requirements, e.g., HIPAA. Respecting and engaging with patients, families, all levels of stakeholders, including CEO, CNO, treatment team and other departments. Performing contraband searches as needed. Overseeing patient vitals and performing vitals as needed. Administering and monitoring medications under physician supervision. Possibly assuming Charge Nurse responsibilities and overseeing the workflow of the unit as required. Ensuring patient and environmental safety by conducting unit safety checks and patient rounds/observations. Maintaining knowledge of principles and practices relevant to nursing and patient care activities. Coordinating and communicating effectively with doctors, treatment team and other departments involving patient care. Demonstrating a level of leadership and direction within patient care parameters. Registered Nursing License required; license is in good standing. Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred. 2 or more years of experience in addiction or inpatient psychiatric health setting preferred. Experience in creating and maintaining patient treatment plans preferred. EMR experience preferred; computer‑based knowledge preferred. Strong oral and written skills. Strong teamwork skills.
