Job Summary:

Seeking a skilled CVOR Surgical Technician specialized in cardiac procedures to support cardiac surgeries in a fast-paced surgical unit. This contract role offers an opportunity to work with advanced surgical technology and experienced staff.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Assist during cardiac and vascular surgeries by preparing and managing surgical instruments and equipment.
  
  
• 
  Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control protocols throughout procedures.
  
  
• 
  Anticipate the needs of the surgical team by organizing tools and supplies efficiently.
  
  
• 
  Monitor and operate specialized surgical equipment such as EVH towers, IABP consoles, and cryo systems.
  
  
• 
  Support the surgical team with instrument counts and ensuring all supplies are accounted for during surgery.
  
  
• 
  Comply with all hospital policies, safety standards, and on-call requirements, including night and weekend shifts.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with cardiovascular surgery experience.
  
  
• 
  Minimum of 1-year experience working in a CVOR or cardiac surgical unit.
  
  
• 
  Proficient in handling specialized surgical instruments and equipment used in cardiac procedures.
  
  
• 
  Ability to work flexible hours including on-call shifts and weekends.
  
  
• 
  Excellent teamwork, communication skills, and a professional, mature demeanor.
  
  
• 
  Must have current certification and be able to demonstrate relevant procedural knowledge.
