Requirements

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Experience working in an acute-care facility preferred.

Required Licenses & Certifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state where you will work.
• Current CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved provider.
• BLS certification is specifically required by the facility.

  Main Job Responsibilities

  • Collect information about the patient’s health and condition.
  • Assess the patient and identify their healthcare needs.
  • Create a nursing care plan for each patient.
  • Provide nursing care according to the care plan.
  • Coordinate patient care with other healthcare professionals.
  • Promote patient safety and a healthy environment.
  • Monitor the patient’s progress and evaluate whether treatment goals are being met.
  • Set appropriate health outcomes and goals for patients.
  • Work closely with patients, families, doctors, nurses, and other healthcare team members.
  • Teach patients and families about their health and care.
  • Provide health-related information to patients, families, and the treatment team.
  • Help with discharge planning to ensure continued care after leaving the facility.
  • Delegate tasks appropriately to other healthcare team members.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the employer.
