Work Environment

This role is performed onsite at our outpatient office, where you will work collaboratively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals, including physical therapy assistants, administrative staff, and fellow physical therapists. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive initial evaluations and ongoing assessments of patients to track their progress and modify treatment plans accordingly.
• Evaluate patients' mobility, strength, and functional abilities, establishing personalized goals for their recovery journey.
• Create detailed Plans of Treatment tailored to the unique needs of each patient, incorporating evidence-based techniques and exercises aimed at facilitating recovery.
• Implement prescribed treatment regimens consistently, making adjustments as needed based on patients' progress and feedback.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes per regulatory and facility requirements.
• Engage in continuous professional development by attending workshops, seminars, and pursuing relevant literature to remain updated on best practices in physical therapy.
• Support a clean and safe working environment by assisting with general facility upkeep and collaborating effectively with other staff members to promote coherent care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse range of patients, including those recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, or chronic pain conditions. Your expertise will be crucial in developing individualized treatment plans to help patients regain their independence and lead active, fulfilling lives. Your compassionate approach will play a significant role in motivating patients to achieve their rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required; however, a Master's or Doctorate degree is preferred.
• Possession of a valid Physical Therapy License for the state of Virginia.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, including AED training.
• A profound understanding of physical therapy principles, practices, and ethics, combined with a willingness to stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in providing physical therapy services to orthopedic patients.
• Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with various patient demographics and adapt treatment methods to meet individual needs.
• Proficiency with physical therapy modalities and equipment specific to outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation.
• A strong sense of empathy and an ability to motivate patients towards achieving their rehabilitation and fitness goals safely.

Compensation and Benefits
