This position is based in our Resource Center located in Minnetonka, MN. Primary responsibilities include: accounts receivable, ACH responsibilities, accounts payable, general ledger entry and reconciliation, month-end close activities, preparing financial reports, financial planning/analysis and budgeting.ResponsibilitiesProcess general ledger entries and perform reconciliationsReconcile bank activity and reflect ACH paymentsReconcile and tie out accounts receivable and accounts payableReview Private Pay accounts receivables and work to collect unpaid balancesPrepare and balance payroll journals and enter into general ledgerReview monthly expenses and accrualsKeep and maintain spreadsheet of all prepaid invoices to be expensed at future datesUpdate monthly forecasts on a weekly basisUpdate weekly occupancy report for sales departmentAssist community with collection effortsTrain community Business Office Managers on financial systems and monitor complianceAssist with year-end auditsPerform financial planning/analysis and budgeting dutiesAssist with accounts payable and the procurement process/systemTrain, develop and mentor community Business Office ManagersProduce and mail resident statements for specified communitiesQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent, preferred4+ years of experience in accountingExperience supporting senior care, healthcare, property, or multi-entity accounting preferredStrong general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable knowledgeDemonstrated experience with month-end close, account reconciliations, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysisAbility to independently manage accounting responsibilities for multiple operating entities/companiesExperience reviewing financial information and identifying discrepancies, trends, and areas requiring follow-upDetail oriented and organized with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlinesSuperior analytical and problem-solving skillsProven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employeesFamiliarity and experience with accounting software and programs.
