About the Role As an Asphalt Foreman, you will oversee day-to-day field operations, direct crew members, communicate expectations clearly, and help ensure each project is completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards. You will play a key leadership role on active job sites and serve as the link between field production, equipment use, safety practices, and overall crew performance. Responsibilities Lead and supervise asphalt crews on active jobsites in and around the assigned service area Coordinate daily work plans, crew assignments, and jobsite workflow Monitor equipment use, basic maintenance awareness, and safe operation procedures Read and interpret construction plans and communicate scope to the crew Enforce company safety standards and OSHA-conscious jobsite practices Maintain quality control for paving, repairs, and related asphalt work Communicate with managers, crew members, and project stakeholders as needed Help keep projects on schedule and support productive field operations Requirements 3+ years of experience in asphalt operations Prior supervisory or crew leadership experience Knowledge of asphalt equipment operation and maintenance Strong understanding of safety protocols and OSHA regulations Ability to read and interpret construction plans Strong communication and leadership skills Valid driver's license with a clean record; no provisional licenses Preferred Qualifications Experience managing paving crews in a fast-paced field environment Strong problem-solving ability on active construction jobsitesAbility to train crew members and maintain high performance standards This is a full-time position serving Cumberland County, NJ and nearby South Jersey markets, with work performed in active field and customer-facing environments depending on role. Candidates should be comfortable with local travel, changing conditions, and consistent, safety-focused performance.
