Licensed Professional Counselor (LCPC / LPC) – Part-Time / PRN Location: US-ME-ROCKLAND Overview We’re looking for a Licensed Professional Counselor who believes real recovery happens when patients can live fully and reach the goals that matter most to them—focused in the specialized setting of neuro rehab. You’ll guide individuals recovering from neurological injuries as they rebuild independence, confidence, and the life they want. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive evaluations, assess the needs of patients and their families, and set measurable objectives and goals in conjunction with the rehabilitation team. Adjust treatment plans to achieve maximum results in independence and/or function. Provide empirically based psychological interventions to patients and families as appropriate to maximize participation with the community. Design community reintegration activities to assist patients with their psychological/cognitive needs during physical activity. Assist patients in understanding their needs and limitations and how to manage them during function. Regularly reassess effectiveness of treatment plans, progress toward goals, and need for modifying goals or treatment. Communicate patient needs and progress to the treatment team, physician, patient, family members, and others as applicable. Consult with medical providers regarding patient evaluation, treatment, progress, and discharge. Observe, document, and report changes in the condition/status of clients to the Clinical Coordinator, Program Manager, DCM, attending physician, and other team members. Maintain and submit evaluation, treatment, and billing documentation in the required format and timelines, complying with company, facility, funding source, local, state, and federal regulations. Adhere to the company's Code of Business Conduct, policies, HIPAA, corporate compliance programs, and professional and legal standards. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Master’s or doctoral degree in counseling or a related field from an accredited institution, meeting state licensing requirements. Current professional license and/or certification as required by the state of practice. Minimum of one year of post‑master’s clinical experience counseling individuals with traumatic or acquired brain injuries or related neurological conditions. Knowledge of complex neurologic injury rehabilitation techniques. Demonstrated effective and professional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable transportation with ability to travel to multiple assignments on a daily basis.
