Lead Program Quality Engineer

Lead Program Quality Engineer Responsible for leading Program Quality Engineers and ensuring quality processes in testing and production environments. Develop solutions for complex technical issues impacting multiple disciplines, communicate with internal and external stakeholders, and manage documentation and compliance. Primary Responsibilities Lead other Program Quality Engineers in daily tasks. Maintain and enforce processes in test and production environments. Develop solutions to complex technical issues impacting multiple disciplines. Communicate with internal team members and client team members, including external parties. Review and sign timecards for accuracy. Inspect components and assembled parts in accordance with drawings. Review and approve assembly instructions. Approve procurement requisitions. Read and understand drawings and technical data packages. Write non‑conformances and complete RCCA activities, including reviewing those completed by other Quality Engineers. Interface with government and PM customers to ensure product compliance on delivery. Complete CDRL data requirements. Verify and issue Certificates of Conformance in accordance with contractual requirements. Perform other duties assigned by the Quality Program Manager. Basic Qualifications BS degree with 8–12 years of relevant experience or master’s degree with 6–10 years of relevant experience. Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to communicate with all levels of management. Knowledge of reading and interpreting drawings. Experience with electrical test environments and test equipment in an IFFP Program. Proficiency with micro‑meters, height gauges, gauge blocks, radius gauges, and calipers. Experience in an ISO 9001/AS 9100 manufacturing environment. Ability to populate handwritten or computer‑generated inspection reports. Computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.). Willingness to travel to customer sites for quality inspections. Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs. Resident of North Alabama or willing to relocate to Huntsville–North Alabama, AL at own expense. U.S. citizen with current or attainable Secret clearance. Preferred Qualifications Experience with government contract and SOW interpretation. Knowledge of FAR and DFAR regulations. Previous auditing experience.
