Facilities Manager

Job Summary We are seeking a highly organized and detail‑oriented Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance and operations of our facilities in Kingsville, MD. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facility management and a proven track record of successfully managing commercial properties. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement a comprehensive facility management plan to ensure the proper functioning of all facilities and equipment. Oversee the maintenance and repair of all company‑owned properties, including building systems, equipment, and grounds. Manage and coordinate all vendor and contractor relationships, including negotiating contracts and ensuring work is completed on time and within budget. Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify areas in need of repair or improvement. Develop and maintain a preventative maintenance schedule to ensure all facilities are properly maintained and in compliance with safety regulations. Manage and track facility budgets, including forecasting and cost‑control measures. Develop and implement emergency response plans to address any unexpected facility issues or emergencies. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations related to facility management, including safety and environmental regulations. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to facility maintenance, repairs, and expenses. Oversee the procurement of necessary supplies and equipment for facility maintenance and operations. Manage a team of facility maintenance staff, providing guidance, training, and support as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in facility management, preferably in a commercial setting. Strong knowledge of building systems and maintenance processes. Excellent organizational and time‑management skills. Ability to effectively manage a team and work collaboratively with others. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and facility management software. Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations. Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
