Registered Nurse - OB/GYN

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecological nursing care to patients, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered services. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate clinical conditions with a focus on maternal and fetal health throughout the care continuum.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans based on age-specific criteria.
• Execute nursing interventions with scientific precision to promote optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, LPNs, PCTs, and secretaries, to coordinate patient care.
• Assist in surgical procedures, functioning as a 1st assist and scrub nurse for OB interventions.
• Educate patients and family members about treatment plans, procedures, and post-discharge care.
• Maintain compliance with certification requirements and hospital policies, including documentation and clinical standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Ohio or Compact State Registered Nurse license.
• Possess a minimum of 2 years of obstetrics experience.
• Have completed at least one travel assignment in healthcare.
• Hold current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications.
• Maintain active fetal monitoring, S.T.A.B.L.E., and neonatal resuscitation certifications.
• Demonstrate flexibility with shift availability, including days and nights.
