About the Role As an MA II, you will be the heartbeat of our pediatric urology clinic. You'll support our young patients and their families through a mix of administrative tasks and hands-on clinical care. Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Care: Greet patients, measure vitals, and assist physicians with exams and in-office surgical procedures.
• Clinical Duties: Administer medications, change dressings, remove sutures, and perform routine screenings.
• Documentation: Update medical histories in the EMR and ensure all legal/ethical documentation is accurate.
• Workflow: Manage room turnover, set up for procedures, and handle patient education regarding home treatments.

What We're Looking For

• Experience: 6 months in a physician's office (Urology experience is a plus!).
• Specialty: Pediatric experience is required for this specific role.
• Education: Graduate of a Medical Assistant program.
• Skills: Proficiency in EMR systems and Microsoft Office; strong organizational and problem-solving skills; and a heart for exceptional patient service.

GENERAL SUMMARY The Medical Assistant II (MA II) supports the delivery of urological services, performs work as required and functions as an effective member of the interdisciplinary team. The Medical Assistant II is tasked to perform routine administrative and clinical tasks to keep the medical offices running smoothly. This position collaborates/work with staff within their practice or other professional disciplines within the affiliated medical groups as needed to achieve effective and efficient patient care delivery and the desired patient outcomes. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION/COMPETENCIES Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• The MA II will perform various administrative and clinical duties under the direction of their assigned direct supervisor.
• Greets and prepare patients.
• Measures and records vital signs.
• Records patient interview, history, and chief complaint.
• Provides patient education with regards to medications, management of diseases, home treatments and special diets.
• Prepares patients for examinations and performs routing screening tests.
• Assists physicians with exams.
• Prepares and administers medications with physician authorization.
• Prepares accurate, legal, and ethical documentation at all times.
• Assist in maintaining patient logs for the following: Lab and imaging requests, and other treatment orders for the patients.
• Maintains prescription ledger when needed.
• Ensures the back office has good flow, keeps rooms full and assists with room turnover.
• Adds medical history on all new patients and accurately updates all established patients' history.
• Performs accurate and complete room set-up for physician.
• Ensures that all patients medication is updated before physician visit.
• Handles set-up for in office surgical procedures.
• Assists in the orientation and training of new personnel.
• Assist with other administrative projects and tasks as needed.
• Ensures proper hand off of responsibilities once their task is completed.
• Meets established attendance criteria and starts work promptly. Punctual and dependable for assigned/confirmed shifts.
• Respects and acknowledges the organizations commitment to cultural diversity, which is expressed through behavior, language and actions.
• Consistently demonstrates good use of time and resources.
• Adherence to HR, & Corporate policies and procedures.
• Ensures that all medical records are accurate and complete for all patients.
• Ensures compliance of healthcare regulations, medical laws and high ethical standards.
• Regularly adheres and supports compliance and accreditation efforts as assigned including, but not limited to OSHA, HIPAA & CMS guidelines for Parts C & D on General Compliance and Fraud, Waste & Abuse.
• Performs other position related duties as assigned.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSURES OR REGISTRY REQUIREMENTS

• Medical Assistant Certification or Registration preferred.

KNOWLEDGE | SKILLS | ABILITIES

• Must demonstrate excellent organizational skills and the ability to perform well in stressful situations.
• Knowledge in healthcare systems operations such as EMR, Practice Management Solutions.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
• Vendor relations (for those MA's that are required to order office and clinical supplies).
• Database management.
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Skill in using computer programs and applications including Microsoft Office.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Delivers exceptional patient service throughout all interactions

• Complies with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality.

Requirements EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Graduate of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience (based on State regulation requirements).
