The Technical Project Manager (TPM) 2 supports and manages discrete technical construction scope, ensuring timely completion of all project elements. This role oversees technical requirements; defines and manages project deliverables, budgets, schedules, and risks; and supports, while at times leading, the project team in planning, tracking, and executing the scope from initiation through turnover. TPM 2 manages project activities in alignment with Triad’s prime contract, National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), and Department of Energy (DOE) 413.3B requirements. Work is organized into control accounts and corresponding work packages that define tasks necessary to meet programmatic objectives. TPM 2 reports to the Manager of Projects (MOP) and is responsible for the day-to-day administrative and operational management of an assigned project/program area. Responsibilities include developing, implementing, and evaluating policies, procedures, and standards related to construction and work execution within a nuclear facility. The role also supports development and monitoring of program budgets and provides technical guidance to project teams, support departments, and matrixed resources.RequirementsBachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and 5 years of directly related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupationPrior nuclear facility and/or laboratory experience is requiredRecent and relevant experience supporting active decontamination and decommissioning (D&D), construction, testing, and turnover in a DOE and/or NNSA settingExperience working under NQA-1 requirements in a nuclear facility environmentExtensive experience working compliantly within strict nuclear security and classification environmentsActive Q clearance is requiredPreferred Qualifications:Prior construction experience, particularly supporting work in a nuclear facilityExperience with work planning and controls in a DOE or NNSA nuclear facility environmentDemonstrated ability to coordinate across construction, operations, radiological control, criticality safety, nuclear safety, occupational safety, and other support organizationsStrong communication, coordination, and project execution skills in highly regulated nuclear security and classification environments.Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearances requirements, US citizenship is required.Navarro is an equal-opportunity employer.
