ProDrivers is hiring an experienced Local Truck Driver for a dedicated container freight opportunity in Newark, NJ. This is an excellent opportunity for a Local Truck Driver seeking consistent weekly earnings, daily home time, and a stable Monday-Friday schedule.
This Local Truck Driver position operates within the North Jersey market hauling containers between ports, rail yards, and customer locations. Drivers enjoy no-touch freight and steady year-round work.

Pay & Schedule

• Average weekly earnings of $1,600-$1,700
• Hourly pay plus incentive opportunities
• Monday-Friday schedule
• PM dispatch between 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM
• Typical 10-12 hour shifts
• Home daily

Local Truck Driver Responsibilities

• Haul containers to and from ports and rail yards
• Operate a Class A tractor-trailer safely and professionally
• Complete local deliveries throughout the North Jersey area
• Perform mostly drop-and-hook moves
• Handle no-touch container freight
• Follow all DOT and company safety requirements

Requirements

To qualify for this Local Truck Driver position you must have:

• Valid Class A CDL
• Active TWIC Card
• Minimum 12 months of verifiable Class A tractor-trailer experience within the last 5 years
• Acceptable MVR and accident history with no more than one at-fault accident
• No Clearinghouse violations
• Consistent work history
• Ability to safely operate in port, rail yard, and container environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Hazmat endorsement
• Port experience
• Rail yard experience
• Intermodal experience
• Container freight experience
