Registered Nurse (RN) - Days

Location: Maine

Schedule: Days 7a-7p

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will hold a current Maine nursing license and have excellent critical thinking skills, strong verbal and written communication abilities, and a solid knowledge base to perform nursing assessments and skills for patients of all age groups. This position requires the capability to work in a dynamic environment while managing patient care effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Perform initial age-appropriate nursing assessments and ongoing reassessments.
• Develop and implement nursing care plans based on patient needs and physician orders.
• Communicate patient care activities to healthcare team members and document activities as per hospital policies.
• Administer medications and evaluate patient responses.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and bedside rounding.
• Maintain safety and wellness in the physical environment and ensure equipment is in working order.
• Assist with patient education and ensure understanding of discharge plans.
• Participate in Quality Improvement initiatives and emergency preparedness planning.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Current RN license in Maine or a compact state.
• BSN preferred.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
• Immunizations must be up to date as per hospital requirements.
