Supervisory Firefighter

Job Title

Job duties include:

• Establishing jobs and performance requirements.
• Performing as shift supervisor over crew chiefs, truck drivers, and journeyman firefighters engaged in all activities relative to fire prevention, fire fighting, inspection, and standby at air field.
• Serving as the Incident Commander with a specialization in Operations.
• Developing plans, procedures, methods, and techniques to provide and sustain an efficient and effective fire suppression and rescue force.
• Making decisions and taking command to ensure that mutual aid support is requested to protect installation personnel and government assets when required.
• Responding and taking charge on emergency calls and urgent calls for assistance.
