The Sewing Machine Operator is responsible for operating industrial sewing equipment to sew mattress fabrics, panels, borders, covers, and other components. This position requires attention to detail, consistent quality, and the ability to meet daily production goals in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate industrial sewing machines safely and efficiently.
• Sew mattress fabrics, panels, borders, covers, and other materials.
• Follow patterns, measurements, and production specifications.
• Inspect stitching for accuracy, strength, and overall quality.
• Identify and report damaged materials or product defects.
• Make minor machine adjustments, such as changing thread or needles.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
• Meet daily production and quality expectations.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Assist with other production duties when needed.

Requirements

• Previous industrial sewing or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to operate or learn to operate industrial sewing equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work quickly while maintaining quality.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work overtime when required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
• Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements.
• Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 30–50 pounds.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
