About Your Role Client Investment Research Analysts play a vital role in supporting Bridgewater’s client service strategy across the Alpha Engine, Total Portfolio Strategies, and Client Service. Analysts work closely with strategists, client advisors, asset‑class teams, and CIOs to define and execute client‑focused research projects, delivering investment insights that inform client thinking. Role Overview Client Investment Research Analysts are embedded across several departments to drive critical projects and engagements: Alpha Engine: projects covering market outlook, portfolio construction, and Bridgewater’s investment process and Pure Alpha strategy. Total Portfolio Strategies: partnership with Pillar Heads and strategists to develop research and insights for clients. Client Service: in‑house investment advisory, partnering with client advisors to provide tailored insights on strategies and performance. Success Profile Develop a holistic understanding of portfolios and portfolio management principles. Understand Bridgewater’s market knowledge and pioneering work in asset management. Contribute to client service strategy via creative insights on strategies, performance, and market outlook. You Will Drive the Following Responsibilities Understand Bridgewater’s book of business, related commercial strategy and investment thinking. Strategize with Client Advisors, other research teams and investment professionals to develop best approaches to client requests, enabling high‑quality client engagements. Apply analytical skills, market knowledge and understanding of Bridgewater’s investment methodology to create insights that help shape client investment thinking or deliver client‑ready portfolio position and performance reports. Work creatively with existing methodologies and tools to identify and solve problems, and contribute to the creation of new tools, models or systems to automate and streamline processes. Position Requirements The role is open to candidates with a strong academic track record in a bachelor or master program. Preferred experience includes fast‑paced professional services environment. Candidates should be intellectually curious, energetic, aggressive problem‑solvers with strong analytical skills. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a strong academic and extracurricular track record. Interest and understanding of markets and investing. Ability to solve complex problems through analysis. Aptitude for creative quantitative work involving financial and economic data. Physical Requirements Four days per week onsite at New York City campus; some teams hybrid. Compensation and Benefits Salary range $130,000‑$260,000 inclusive of base and discretionary target bonus.
