Integration Solutions Mechanical & Piping Estimator

Integrated Solutions Mechanical and Piping Estimator to assist the estimation manager, bid manager, pre‑sales team and customers during sales process focusing on factory and third‑party integration. Provides technical input into bid proposals, projects, and technical documents, and identifies new sales opportunities with existing customers. Responsibilities Participate in preliminary project design and engineering meetings to evaluate and begin takeoffs for integration materials and labor costs. Prepare detailed mechanical/electrical/piping material take‑offs and quotations for large‑scale prestigious integration projects. Assist in developing clear, concise, and technically sound tailored solutions for customer review and acceptance based on RFPs and requirements, ensuring proper scope and technical specifications are met. Provide estimation and costing support to bid management and project management teams. Assist with equipment selections and technical calculations to meet requirements of various Vertiv products. Apply Trimble Accubid MEP software to provide comprehensive bid support. Maintain a positive, progressive, and productive attitude toward plant targets and objectives regarding reliability, accountability, safety, integrity, quality, and productivity as a unified goal. Provide technical/estimation support to the IS operations project management. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mechanical/process engineering or comparable experience preferred. 2 years industrial or relevant commercial/industrial installation/integration estimating experience preferred. Experience with Trimble Accubid MEP (or similar estimating platform), technical scope review, and design‑build process preferred. High level of technical knowledge with electrical distribution and mechanical cooling/piping systems. Excellent team player and ability to perform and prioritize multiple, simultaneous tasks while maintaining excellent customer service. Strong understanding of data center infrastructure design objectives, performance factors, and physical requirements. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Detail‑oriented. Ability to work and multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment. Knowledge of commercial/industrial infrastructure design objectives, performance factors, and physical requirements. Experience evaluating electrical single line diagrams (SLD), relay PLC schemes, and communication network diagrams (media & protocols). Experience evaluating process piping and refrigeration diagrams, and associated control and communication network diagrams. Excellent problem‑solving skills.
