Registered Nurse - Med Surg Observation - Days

BayCare Health System is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Med/Surg Observation Unit at St. Anthony's Hospital in St. Petersburg.

Position Summary

The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care in a hospital setting using the nursing process and established clinical standards. The RN collaborates with the interdisciplinary team, delegates appropriate care activities, and ensures safe, high-quality outcomes for observation patients.

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care using evidence-based nursing practice
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to develop and update plans of care
Delegate appropriate patient care activities to support staff
Identify patient safety risks related to diagnosis, medications, procedures, and age
Maintain professional accountability and ongoing development

Requirements

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
BLS certification
Minimum 6 months RN acute care experience
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Position Details

Facility: St. Anthony's Hospital Med/Surg Observation
Location: St. Petersburg, FL
Status: Full-Time | Non-Exempt
Shift: Shift 1 (Days)
Hours: 6:45 AM 7:15 PM
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
On-Call: No
Remote Work: Never
