Job Title: Maintenance Engineer - Urgent hiring -- pay range $25 to $30

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to support the day-to-day maintenance of a residential community. This role is responsible for ensuring apartments, building systems, and common areas are safe, clean, and operating efficiently while delivering excellent service to residents.

• Perform HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and general maintenance repairs.
• Complete resident work orders promptly and professionally.
• Conduct apartment turns and prepare units for new residents.
• Maintain property grounds and common areas.
• Troubleshoot building systems and resolve maintenance issues.
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for emergency repairs.
• Document and track work orders using property management systems.

• Experience in apartment, facilities, or property maintenance.
• Strong HVAC, plumbing, and carpentry skills.
• Ability to diagnose and complete repairs independently.
• Customer-service mindset and professionalism.
• Own basic hand tools.
• Willingness to work on-call as required.

• Multifamily property maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of boiler/chiller systems.
• Familiarity with property management software.

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Omaha, NE.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
