- Oversee software development activities across multiple software versions to ensure alignment with program objectives, technical requirements, and delivery schedules.
- Review and assess software and firmware requirements, architecture, design artifacts, and technical documentation produced by prime contractors.
- Support development and maintenance of Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) deliverables and software program documentation.
- Coordinate software budget planning, execution tracking, and technical assessments in support of program objectives.
- Evaluate software safety compliance activities and ensure adherence to applicable standards, processes, and program requirements.
- Support Formal Qualification Testing (FQT), test planning, execution reviews, issue resolution, and assessment of test results.
- Participate in Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) activities to verify software performance, functionality, and compliance with requirements.
- Collaborate with systems engineering, integration, test, and operational stakeholders to identify and mitigate technical risks.
- Support final software materiel release activities and provide technical recommendations related to system flight readiness.
- Other duties as assigned in support of mission and business requirements.
- BA/BS in mathematics, engineering, computer science, or other related field and 12 years of progressive, related experience.
- U.S. citizenship and a Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
- Experience supporting software development lifecycle activities, including requirements, design, implementation, testing, and release.
- Experience reviewing technical documentation, software design products, and engineering deliverables.
- Experience supporting verification, validation, qualification testing, or software certification activities.
- Experience supporting missile, aviation, aerospace, or defense systems programs.
- Experience with embedded software or real-time system development environments.
- Knowledge of software safety standards and software assurance methodologies.
- Experience supporting contractor oversight within a government program office environment.
- Familiarity with Agile development processes, configuration management practices, and requirements traceability tools.
- Experience leading cross-functional technical reviews and engineering assessments.
