Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Internal Medicine Duration: 14 weeks Shift: 3rd Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Current state Registered Nurse License or Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the Nurse Licensure Compact Certifications: American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent Must-Have: - Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice acquired through completion of education at an accredited School of Nursing - Clinical competence and experience in the care and management of target patient populations Description: The Registered Nurse is a practitioner responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for an identified group of patients in an inpatient environment. This individual demonstrates competency in the delivery of care to a primarily adult population. Essential functions of the Staff Registered Nurse-Inpatient job description are adapted from the ANA Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice. A strong understanding of nursing theory and practice is required. Clinical competence and experience in patient care management are essential. An Associate's degree in nursing is required, while a Bachelor's degree is preferred. A current state Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License is required. Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory.
