Overview
Travel Registered Nurse – Pre Op in Saint Helena, California. Start date 08/03/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment in a short-term acute care hospital. Weekly pay range $1,756–$1,786 with guaranteed 40 hours per week. Shift: 3x12-hour days.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct pre-operative nursing care, including data collection, assessment, and planning to prepare patients for anesthesia and surgery.
- Collaborate with surgical teams, anesthesia providers, and perioperative staff to coordinate timely and safe care.
- Monitor patient status, administer medications and pre-op protocols, and ensure patient safety throughout the pre-operative period.
- Educate patients and families about perioperative processes, expectations for recovery, and discharge planning when applicable.
- Supervise and direct the activities of nursing staff and support personnel; delegate tasks and coordinate care with other disciplines.
- Maintain accurate documentation, uphold infection control practices, and contribute to a safe, healing environment.

Requirements
- Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice (California) required
- Education: BSN preferred
- Certifications: AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS required; AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS required; CPR certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) as applicable
- Experience: At least two years of recent RN experience; acute care/pre-op experience preferred; OPS experience preferred
- Additional: Ability to work in a pre-operative, high-stakes clinical setting; strong critical thinking and collaboration skills
