Director of Advocacy Relations

Seeking a full-time Director of Advocacy Relations, the successful candidate will lead client communications strategies, manage account teams, and develop partnerships with advocacy organizations while working remotely or in the New York office. Key responsibilities: Serve as the primary client contact, delivering strategic counsel and overseeing integrated communications strategies Manage and mentor junior staff, fostering a supportive team environment and ensuring effective delegation of tasks Oversee client budgets and scopes of work, ensuring accurate financial management and proactive billing oversight Required qualifications: 8+ years of experience in public relations or strategic communications, particularly in pharmaceutical or healthcare sectors Demonstrated expertise in corporate communications, advocacy relations, and disease awareness programs Strong understanding of the healthcare advocacy landscape and experience with patient organizations and coalitions Proven ability to manage complex projects and inspire team collaboration Exceptional interpersonal skills and a positive attitude, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work
