Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis and be available from May 24, 2027, through August 13, 2027. Department/Position Description

The primary purpose of the environmental, health and Safety department is to provide support and direction to the brands of Ahold Delhaize USA to protect associates and customers and the environment by eliminating or minimizing risks and hazards. The intern will be responsible for developing, validating, and updating safety programs such as job hazard analysis, personal protective equipment assessments, and hazard communication programs including safety data sheet inventories. In addition, the position would assist in updating corporate office emergency response plans and training material. Work would involve visiting retail and corporate facilities in the Salisbury, NC and Charlotte, NC area.

Qualifications

Pursuing a degree in Occupational Safety, Public Health, Business administration, Supply Chain, or related field.

Knowledge of safety regulations including OSHA.

Communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of the team.

Strong Attention to detail.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Person must have reliable transportation as the position will be required to visit retail and corporate locations in the Salisbury, NC and Charlotte, NC area.
