Facilities Maintenance Manager

We're looking for an experienced Facilities Maintenance Manager to lead the team responsible for keeping our campus safe, functional, and ready to support our mission every day. As the Facilities Maintenance Manager, you'll oversee the maintenance and daily operations of multiple Foundation buildings and grounds while leading a team of maintenance, custodial, and grounds staff. Responsibilities include: Leading, coaching, and developing the Facilities team. Managing preventive maintenance programs and facility repair projects. Overseeing HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, grounds, security, and general building maintenance. Managing vendor relationships, contractors, and service providers. Coordinating facility readiness for programs, rentals, athletic events, and community events. Monitoring departmental budgets, inventories, and maintenance schedules. Conducting safety inspections and helping ensure compliance with Foundation policies. Partnering with executive leadership on capital improvements, facility planning, and long-term maintenance strategies. Education/Experience Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible facilities management experience required. Three (3) to five (5) years of facilities, building maintenance, or operations leadership experience required. Previous experience supervising maintenance, custodial, grounds, or facilities personnel preferred. Experience managing maintenance projects, contractors, vendors, and departmental budgets preferred. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required. Skills & Abilities Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills. Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and general building systems. Excellent organizational and project management abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Sound judgment with the ability to identify practical, cost-effective solutions. The ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. The Facilities Maintenance Manager regularly moves throughout the Foundation campus to oversee operations, inspect facilities, support events, and respond to maintenance needs. The successful candidate must be able to: Frequently walk, stand, bend, reach, climb stairs, and lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Safely climb ladders and work at elevated heights, including rooftops, when necessary. Work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Assist with the setup and breakdown of equipment and event spaces as needed. Maintain a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings, weekends, and extended hours to support Foundation events and operational needs.
