OFFICE AND ACCOUNTING MANAGER

 LATHAM, NY

Fusco Personnel is partnering with a well-established mechanical contracting company to identify an experienced Office & Accounting Manager. This is a direct-hire opportunity for an organized and detail-oriented professional who enjoys wearing multiple hats and contributing to the overall success of a growing business.

The ideal candidate will have strong accounting and office management experience, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to support accounting, payroll, human resources, and operational functions in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
• Prepare journal entries, monthly financial reports, and assist with month-end close.
• Oversee job costing, labor tracking, purchase orders, and financial reporting.
• Administer HR functions including benefits, onboarding, payroll support, and compliance.
• Coordinate insurance reporting, office operations, and general administrative activities.
• Support process improvements and assist with special projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of accounting and office management experience.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with AP, AR, payroll, general ledger, and financial reporting.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred:

• Experience in HVAC, construction, or mechanical contracting.
• Knowledge of union or certified payroll, job costing, or ServiceTrade is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

• $63,000–$73,000 , based on experience.
