divh2Locum Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant/h2pSeeking a Locum Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to provide care for patients in Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living Facilities./ppResponsibilities include:/pulliSigning all orders specific for Primary Care while at the facility and/or within 24 hours if faxed or emailed to include phone orders, DME orders, Death Certificates, Plans of Care, PT/OT orders, hospice orders as appropriate, and other orders as is relevant and appropriate to the facility patient care needs/liliManaging all narcotic prescriptions specific to your facilitys patients/liliProviding on-call triage duties - Triage Policies and on-call duties and scheduling will be modified as needed and all providers are expected to adhere to the newest agreed upon triage schedule/liliProviding verbal and/or written instruction or feedback regarding medications and other pertinent caregiver information/liliMaintaining patient confidentiality including appropriate use of Cell phone, emails text messaging, patient charts and EMR - abide by and be knowledgeable of HIPPAA rules and regulations/li/ulpRequirements:/pulliMasters degree in Nursing from an accredited educational institution/liliCurrent and valid state medical license/liliGraduated from a physician assistant educational program that is accredited by a National Commission on Accreditation of Allied Education Programs/liliHave passed the national certification examination of the National Commission on Accreditation of Certification of Physician Assistants/liliSpecialization in Geriatric, Family or Psychiatry desired/li/ulpCommunity/Facility info:/ppMedical group practice of 62 outstanding, hand-picked clinicians making more than 75,000 home visits a year in private residences, retirement communities, apartment buildings and independent and assisted facilities in the Triangle, Triad and Charlotte regions of North Carolina, and now also serving the Pinehurst/Southern Pines area, Eastern NC along the I-95 Corridor out to Greenville, and the Mountain Area west of Charlotte to Asheville and Hendersonville./p/div
