Ratios: 1 RN per room

Required Certifications (i.e., BLS, ACLS?): BLS

Required Duties: Intra-op Circulation Nurse (No Sedation)

Common Cases: EGD, Colonoscopy, ERCP, EUS, EMR, Hemorrhoid Banding

Experience or 'Must Have' Skills: Knowledge of Endoscopy Procedures and Equipment

Charge Nurse/House Supervisor: None

Are There Techs or Nurse Aids in This Department: We Have Surgical Techs

RT Equipment (Vent, CPAP, BiPAP, etc): None

Shifts & Scheduling (Do You Allow Self-Scheduling? Block Scheduling?): Mon - Friday 7-3 With a Number System to Stay If Cases Are Not Done. No Self-Scheduling or Block

Weeknight/Call Requirements: Number System to Finish Up Cases. Usually 3 Days Per Month

Weekend/Call Requirements: 1 Weekend a Month Call 7-3 Saturday and Sunday Might Be More Than a Month With Our Nursing Rotation

Holiday/Call Requirements: On Call 7-3 on Holidays

What Is Call Response Time?: 30 Min, Usually Flexible

Floating Requirements: None

Scrub Color/Dress Code: Scrubs in House
