Key Responsibilities: Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Welder will be responsible for, but not limited to:- Ability to read and follow verbal instructions.
- Must have good math skills and be able to add or subtract feet, inches and fractions.
- Must pass 1 inch thick 2-G welder qualification.
- Must pass tack welder qualification (visual macro break test).
- Ability to use carbon air-arc for back gouging.
- Minimum 3 years of welding structural steel experience.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Ability to read a tape measure.
- Ability to operate overhead cranes.
- Current or past AWS certification for FCAW, MCAW.
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures.
- A team player, who can interrelate and operate effectively with peers and other associates within a collegial, yet demanding, work environment.
- Organization skills and the ability to be flexible in managing changing priorities.
- Communication skills-both written and oral.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
