Lathe Operator - 1st Shift | 4-Day Work Week

Pay: $48,000 - $52,000/year
Schedule: 1st Shift | 4 Days/Week (3-Day Weekends Every Week!)
Job Type: Direct Hire (Full-Time - Start Immediately!)

What You'll Do:

• Set up and operate Swiss-style CNC lathes
• Read and interpret blueprints, prints, and setup sheets
• Load materials (bar stock) and monitor machine performance
• Install and adjust cutting tools, guide bushings, and tool holders
• Perform tight-tolerance inspections using micrometers, calipers, and gauges
• Complete in-process inspections and documentation
• Identify and report defects or machining issues
• Perform routine machine maintenance (coolant, oils, lubrication)
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

What You Bring:

• Experience operating or setting up Swiss lathes (preferred)
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and tolerances
• Experience with precision measuring instruments
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Solid math skills (fractions, decimals, tolerances)
• Willingness to learn and grow within the role

• Bonus If You Have:

• Experience with tight-tolerance machining
• Multi-axis CNC or Swiss machine background
• Troubleshooting and minor program adjustment experience
