Interim Controller | Onsite Monterey, CA | Full-Time Contract Start: 12/15/2025 (ASAP onboarding) Duration: ~4 months (through ~3/31/2026) Location: Onsite – Monterey, CA Hours: Full-time (40 hrs/week) Compensation: Hourly (bill rate not to exceed $135/hr) Overview Beech Valley is seeking an interim Controller to support month-end close for a client onsite in Monterey, CA . This is a hands‑on role for someone who can step in quickly, stabilize the close process, and ensure timely, accurate results while providing day‑to‑day leadership to the accounting function. What You’ll Do Own and drive the month-end close process, including timelines, task management, and final review Review key reconciliations and accounting outputs to ensure completeness and accuracy Provide day‑to‑day oversight and support to the accounting team (as applicable) Partner with Finance leadership and cross‑functional stakeholders to resolve issues and keep reporting on track Identify close bottlenecks and implement practical process improvements (checklists, documentation, controls) What We’re Looking For Controller-level experience (or strong Accounting Manager stepping into Controller responsibilities) Deep operational accounting and close leadership experience Comfortable operating onsite in a fast‑paced environment with minimal ramp time Strong communication skills and ability to keep teams aligned around deadlines Experience in structured close environments and working with auditors is a plus Why Beech Valley?
