Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Grill Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and a keen interest in delivering high-quality meals. As a Grill Cook, you will be responsible for cooking and preparing various grilled dishes while ensuring that all food safety and sanitation standards are met. Your ability to work in a fast-paced environment will contribute to our restaurant's success.

Duties

• Prepare and cook grilled items according to established recipes and menu specifications.
• Ensure all food is cooked to the appropriate temperature and meets quality standards.
• Manage the grill station efficiently, maintaining cleanliness and organization at all times.
• Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, marinating, and seasoning ingredients.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
• Follow proper food handling procedures to maintain safety and sanitation standards.
• Participate in menu planning by suggesting new grilled items or improvements to existing dishes.
• Maintain inventory of supplies needed for the grill station and communicate any shortages to management.
• Ensure the kitchen and dish room is clean and organized during all shifts.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a cook, preferably in a restaurant setting with a focus on grilling techniques.
• Strong culinary skills, including knowledge of various cooking methods and food presentation.
• Familiarity with meal preparation processes and food service operations.
• Ability to effectively use kitchen equipment, including knives and grills.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and safety.
• A team player with good communication skills who can help foster a positive work environment.
