This role develops code-compliant, constructible designs—including power distribution, renewable energy, storage, and controls integration—within defined project scopes. The PE I collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordination with existing facilities, supports permitting and procurement efforts, and responds to field conditions. Responsibilities include preparing accurate calculations, drawings, and specifications, maintaining design documentation, and contributing to systems that meet performance, reliability, and energy efficiency objectives consistent with ENFRA’s design-build delivery model.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for signing and sealing engineering documents, as applicable.Designs solar energy, battery energy storage, fuel cell, and combined heat and power plants with guidance from senior engineers.Performs analysis and design of electrical systems (power distribution, low/medium voltage systems, lighting, controls, etc.).Performs basic calculations for utility interconnects, arc flash, and short-circuit and breaker coordination studies.Prepares calculations, drawings, and specifications under established standards.Conducts site visits, field assessments, and data collection. May coordinate and plan 3D laser scanning efforts.Assists in project coordination with multidisciplinary teams.Applies engineering techniques within defined assignments.Performs work under general supervision.Handles moderately complex issues; escalates complex challenges to senior staff.QualificationsRequired Education, Experience, and QualificationsBachelor's degree in architectural engineering, electrical engineering, or related field.5+ years of design experience Professional Engineer (PE) LicenseWorking knowledge of electrical system design and analysisStrong analytical, problem-solving, and mathematical skillsProficiency with electrical design and modeling softwareEffective communication and documentation skillsDetail-oriented with ability to manage multiple assignmentsPreferred Education, Experience, and QualificationsExperience in energy infrastructure, ESCOTravel Requirements10-25% of time will be spent traveling to job sites.Physical/Work Environment RequirementsProlonged periods of office work sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Ascending and descending stairs, ladders, ramps, and possibly scaffolding.Occasionally completed field survey in loud, peak/low temperatures, and/or elevated locations.Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.Field survey, including traveling to job sites, to document existing conditions and observe construction progress.Light work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects up to 20 pounds.#LI-SR1Pay RangeUSD $101,610.00 - USD $152,662.00 /Yr.ENFRA is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer of Minorities, Women, Protected Veterans, and Individuals with Disabilities, and participates in the e-Verify program.
