Network Engineer

Network Engineer Job Locations: Huntsville, AL Opportunity: PeopleTec is seeking a Network Systems Engineer to support the Army’s Scaled Hypersonics (SHY) Product Office at the Huntsville, AL location. The role involves sustaining and modernizing rapidly developed hypersonics capabilities. Primary duties include design, development, testing, integration, and fielding of network systems for hypersonics, advising leadership, managing technical requirements, and coordinating risks. Responsibilities Support design, development, prototyping, modernization, testing, and evaluation of systems within the SHY portfolio including software, hardware, integration, and test. Provide systems engineering and integration support for weapons systems. Interface as the liaison between other Army program offices and vendors. Evaluate software interfaces into existing network architecture. Develop network diagrams for modernization efforts and hardware additions. Review and define system requirements. Review and evaluate system technical specifications, designs, analyses, test plans/procedures, and technical data packages. Interface with other government organizations and contractors to facilitate preliminary concept exploration and candidate system design. Develop and present briefings, analysis, and reports to industry, internal/external government organizations, and senior/executive leadership within the DoW and the Federal Government. Qualifications Required Skills/Experience: 10 years of experience supporting engineering for weapon systems. Minimum 5 years of experience in systems engineering for major defense acquisition program office or OEM. Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in MS Office. Ability to multitask in a high paced environment. Experience in network/IP configurations management. Ability to work on-site. Demonstrated knowledge and application of systems engineering and requirements analysis. Successful missile system fire direction and power systems development experience. Demonstrated experience with System Requirements Design Reviews. Travel: 10%. Must be a U.S. Citizen. Active Secret Security Clearance is required; preference given to current TS/SCI clearance holders. Ability to obtain/maintain TS/SCI clearance. Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited university. Master's degree preferred. Desired Skills: Active TS/SCI clearance. Self-starter, requiring minimal supervision with proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Successful technical missile system fire direction and power systems development experience with Tactical Tomahawk Weapon Control System (TTWCS), Aegis Weapon System (AWS), the Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS), and the Joint Automated Deep Operations Coordination System (JADOCS). Experience with fielded DoD internet terminal systems (Starlink, SIPR/NIPR Access Point (SNAP), T2 Network Systems). Knowledge of system interface requirements and requirements management as well as techniques to drive system behaviors. Experience preparing briefings and documentation. Familiar with conducting reviews of entrance and exit criteria.
