The role involves providing care for patients during labor and delivery. Current certifications including NRP, STABLE, AWHONN Fetal Monitoring, and ACLS are required. The nurse will be responsible for the administration of medications and monitoring fetal heart rates. Additional skills include support for breastfeeding and lactation. Other responsibilities may involve assisting with high-risk deliveries and postpartum care. The nurse will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes. A strong focus on patient education and emotional support for families is essential. Candidates must adhere to all infection control protocols. The ability to perform assessments and respond to changes in patient conditions is crucial. Flexibility to cover weekend shifts is required, with a commitment to delivering high-quality care. Compliance with all organizational policies and procedures is expected.
