Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10H Days Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: 2 years License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), PALS Must-Have: - 2 years of PACU experience - ICU experience - Pediatric experience - No first-time travelers Description: The position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in PACU. Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in PACU and ICU. Pediatric experience is required. The role includes managing adult, pediatric, general, orthopedic, neurological, vascular, burn, gynecological, and ICU cases. The nurse may be required to recover ICU patients in PACU during overflow situations. Comfort in managing pressors, sedation, and vented patients is necessary. The dress code includes dark blue scrubs or hospital-supplied scrubs. The charge nurse/house supervisor role is a rare assignment. The unit has nurse aids available during normal business hours. Cancellation policy allows for up to 4 shifts to be canceled per assignment. Charting is performed using Cerner.
