• Licenses/Certifications: BLS, NRP, NIHSS (Required) | Level 3 NICU experience or higher (Required)

What You'll Do:

• Provide expert nursing care to pre-term and Level 3 surgical NICU patients
• Monitor patient status continuously using bedside telemetry monitoring
• Administer medications and IV treatments using Alaris pumps and Pyxis dispensing system
• Collaborate with charge nurses, resource nurses, RTs, nurse practitioners, PT, OT, and CRNA support staff
• Respond to emergencies with confidence and follow safety protocols
• Document patient care accurately in Meditech Expanse EMR system
• Support hospital policies on PPE use and infection control
• Participate in unit orientation and ongoing team communication

What You Need:

• Valid RN license for Louisiana or appropriate state
• Certification in BLS, NRP, NIHSS (must be current)
• Level 3 NICU experience or higher required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, pediatric critical care environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

About the Assignment:
Join a dedicated team on a specialized PICU unit providing critical care for vulnerable neonatal patients, including pre-term and surgical NICU infants. The unit maintains a 1:2 nurse-to-baby ratio, with support from a collaborative team including RTs, nurse practitioners, PT, OT, and CRNAs. The facility emphasizes patient safety, staff support, and professional development to ensure quality care and a positive work environment.
