Shift Leader

At Newk's Eatery , our Shift Leaders help create a great guest experience every shift. You lead day-to-day operations, support your team in delivering quality food and friendly service, and help the restaurant run smoothly, safely, and efficiently.

Schedule type: Full-time and part-time

What you'll do

• Lead and motivate team members to deliver the Newk's Experience, with a focus on guest satisfaction
• Support front- and/or back-of-house operations to ensure standards, policies, and procedures are followed
• Monitor food quality, cleanliness, and safety practices throughout the shift
• Coordinate shift tasks, prioritize needs as they arise, and ensure products are prepared and served correctly
• Assist with cash handling and operational accuracy as needed
• Maintain a respectful, positive, and professional work environment
• Support recruiting, training, and coaching efforts to help team members succeed
• Communicate clearly with management and other team leads to drive consistency

What we're looking for

• Leadership experience in a restaurant or customer-focused environment (preferred)
• Strong communication skills and the ability to coach others in the moment
• Commitment to safety, sanitation, and quality standards
• Ability to manage multiple priorities during busy periods
• A professional, guest-first attitude and a team-centered mindset
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends

REQUIREMENTS

• Must have a valid driver's license
• 1-2 years of restaurant experience
• Must be able to work nights and weekends
