About the Position

Job Title: Medical Surgical Registered Nurse - Joint Replacement Center Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1 year License: Must have an active state RN license Certifications: BLS required; ACLS, CPI, and NIH preferred Must-Have: Strong medical-surgical and orthopedic/joint experience Description: Med/Surg Registered Nurse needed for an orthopedic/joint unit. This position requires working three 12-hour night shifts from 19:00 to 07:30. Candidates must have a minimum of 1 year of experience, with first-time travelers accepted if they have strong medical-surgical and orthopedic/joint experience. Floating within specialty and to other units is required. Holidays and every other weekend are mandatory as scheduled. Patient ratio is typically 1:6. The focus will be on adult and geriatric patients undergoing joint replacement procedures. Candidates should be familiar with accessing and managing ports, administering blood products, and providing wound care. Additional skills applicable include isolation precautions, phlebotomy, IV management, and supporting respiratory needs. This role will involve collaboration with an interdisciplinary team including therapy and pharmacy services.
