Job Overview RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Assistant Director of Patient Care for the PICU I at Community Medical Center. Community Medical Center is a 592-bed, fully accredited acute care hospital offering world-class medical treatment with hometown care. Opened in 1961, CMC has evolved into the state\'s newest teaching hospital with four residency programs and Ocean County\'s largest and most active health care facility, serving over 21,500 inpatients, 178,000 outpatients and 73,700 emergency department patients each year. Qualifications Graduated from an accredited school of nursing. Current New Jersey RN License. At least 2 years acute care nursing experience or 2 years acute care nursing experience with previous management experience. Preferred Preferred Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or currently matriculating. Certifications and Licenses BLS Health Care Provider through American Heart Association Additional certifications may be required as per the Administrative Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification Policy Scheduling Night Shift, 40 hours per week Essential Functions Manages patient care delivery on an assigned shift. Ensure that unit/department/division is in compliance with applicable policies, laws and regulations. Ability to pay attention to detail. Leadership skills; critical thinking, problem-solving skills. Ability to work well under pressure. Ambition and desire to positively impact patient care, patient experience and the overall success of the unit. Responsibilities include assisting the Director in managing the unit with staff schedules, evaluations, discipline & QI.
