About the Position

Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-hour shifts expected | Self-scheduling available

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 16-bed ICU with an expected nurse-to-patient ratio of 2:1
• Manage and titrate cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation medications
• Care for patients with diagnoses including CHF, DKA, respiratory failure, metabolic acidosis, renal failure, and encephalopathy
• Troubleshoot respiratory therapy equipment including ventilators, BiPAP, AIRVO, and high-flow modalities in collaboration with 24/7 on-unit RT support
• Monitor patients via central monitoring station; free charge nurse and ICU nurses are responsible for rhythm interpretation
• Float to other units as needed per facility policy

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of Texas
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Proficiency with ventilator management, drip titration, and DKA management
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy) training or experience
• IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump) training or experience
