Industrial Maintenance Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience, strong supervisory skills, and preferred experience supporting injection molding equipment and related plastic processing systems. This role is responsible for driving equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, supporting preventative maintenance programs, and developing a high-performing maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and actively support all department and plant safety initiatives.
• Lead, coach, and develop maintenance technicians to ensure effective troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance execution.
• Ensure preventative maintenance activities are completed accurately, safely, and on schedule.
• Coordinate emergency repair work and deploy resources to minimize downtime and restore equipment operation quickly.
• Partner with Production, Recycling, Warehouse, and other departments to identify maintenance priorities and support continuous improvement efforts.
• Participate in major breakdown analysis, root-cause investigations, preventative maintenance improvements, and reliability initiatives.
• Monitor spare parts usage and recommend inventory improvements to reduce downtime and control maintenance costs.
• Assess technician skills, identify training needs, and support ongoing technical development within the maintenance team.
• Promote accountability, teamwork, communication, and a proactive maintenance culture.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of related industrial maintenance experience; prior supervisory or lead experience strongly preferred.
• Preferred experience with injection molding equipment, plastic processing systems, and related auxiliary equipment.
• Experience with plastic extrusion and thermoforming equipment is a plus.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, lifting, rigging, and general industrial maintenance practices.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, prioritize work, delegate tasks, and hold team members accountable.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills, time management skills, and attention to detail.
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Experience using CMMS systems to manage work orders, preventative maintenance, and maintenance records.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical degree, certification, apprenticeship, or equivalent hands-on experience preferred.
• At least 5 years of related industrial maintenance experience required.
• Previous experience in injection molding or plastics manufacturing preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking on concrete in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to safely lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
• Must be able to bend, reach, climb, and work around industrial equipment as needed.
