Job Summary:

The Warehouse Manager oversees the daily operations of the warehouse within a food manufacturing facility. This includes managing the receipt, storage, rotation, and distribution of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods while ensuring compliance with food safety standards, company policies, and regulatory guidelines. The role is responsible for inventory accuracy, team leadership, warehouse efficiency, and maintaining a clean and food-safe environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all warehouse activities including receiving, storing, inventory control, and shipping of materials and products.
• Ensure adherence to food safety regulations such as FDA, USDA, and company GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS); conduct regular cycle counts and inventory reconciliations.
• Supervise and lead warehouse staff; provide training on safety, food handling, and operational procedures.
• Oversee proper storage and rotation of raw materials and finished goods (FIFO/FEFO) to ensure product quality and minimize waste.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality Assurance, and Purchasing to support continuous production and timely order fulfillment.
• Monitor warehouse KPIs and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and cost savings.
• Ensure proper sanitation and pest control procedures are followed in all storage areas.
• Enforce safety protocols and lead regular safety inspections to maintain a hazard-free workplace.
• Coordinate inbound/outbound logistics, including scheduling of deliveries and shipments with carriers and vendors.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Competencies

Minimum degree and experience required:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of warehouse management experience, preferably in a food manufacturing or perishable goods environment.
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards (GMP, HACCP, SQF, etc.).
• Experience with ERP and WMS software systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
• Forklift certification preferred.

Specific competencies required:

• Strong organizational, analytical and communications skills
• Knowledge of continuous improvement tools and lean methods
• Ability to be flexible to work any hours/shifts.
• ERP experience required
• Proficient in MS Office Suite required
• Food processing experience preferable
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, motivate, and train people
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Standing, walking, and operating warehouse equipment for extended periods.
• Exposure to varying temperatures and warehouse conditions

We Take Care of Our Team

Position offers a starting salary range of $80,400 - $130,100, with a target compensation of approximately $100,000. Actual pay will be determined based on skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
